What is STRL all about?
STRL Racing is all about
having fun. We want every driver to enjoy their racing experience with
STRL, and
most of all, we want our drivers to compete against people they respect and trust each week. To
ensure that each driver has the same opportunity and enjoyment as the
next, we have to institute a set of rules for all league members to abide
by. These rules help govern the racing environment and have contributed to
the 7 successful years of this league. We look forward to our 8th
year of incredible competition.
History of STRL
STRL Racing was founded in June of 2001, and started with the
Challenger division only on Friday evenings, with a handful of races
scheduled, and limited membership. STRL quickly grew and expanded, and
added another division to Thursday evenings, called the Charger division.
While the Challenger division was an open setup division, the
Charger division was designed as a fixed setup division in 2001.
Over the years, the look of STRL has changed while new divisions appeared
while others have disappeared....but the quality of the sim-racing
experience has continually become better and better.
What makes a good driver?
It's hard to diminish the
fact that this is all about a racing simulation. However, all of us have to
realize that we are each responsible for the outcome of each of our
events, and the finish of each of our competitors on the track. The keys
to any successful event is to remain patient. Keep these points in mind:
