Lucky Dog Summary
1. THE FIRST LAPPED CAR ON THE STANDINGS
BOARD AFTER CAUTION IS POTENTIALLY THE "LD".
2. "LD" NEEDS TO PIT EVERY LAP THAT THE
PITS IS OPEN TO HIM.
3. "LD" NEEDS TO BE THE ABSOLUTE LAST CAR
IN LONGEST LINE TO TAKE THE RESTART GREEN FLAG.
4. IF "LD" MAKES MISTAKE AND ISN'T LAST IN
LINE, "LD" SHOULD TAKE GREEN FROM THAT POSITION BUT THEN ALLOW OTHERS TO PASS AFTER HE TAKES THE GREEN FLAG AT THE START
LINE.
4. THERE IS NO "LD" IF THE YELLOW DROPS
WHEN THERE IS LESS THAN 10 LAPS TO GO.
5. IF YOU WERE
INVOLVED IN A WRECK AND ARE NOT SURE IF YOU ARE PARTIALLY TO BLAME, DO
NOT
ASK FOR THE "LD" OR AGREE THAT
YOU ARE THE "LD".

3.4 The "Lucky Dog Rule"
Explained:
Procedure:
When the spotter yells out, "CAUTION IS OUT"........LIFT AND CHECK YOUR F2 SCREEN MAINTAINING YOUR POSITION SAFELY TO
THE START/FINISH LINE. THEN ASSUME YOUR APPROPRIATE STAGGERED
POSITIONING YOU ALREADY DO.
AFTER RECEIVING THE YELLOW FLAG AND CATCHING THE CARS AHEAD, THE FIRST
LAPPED CAR ON THE STANDINGS BOARD NEEDS TO CHAT TO THE ADMIN , "LUCKY DOG IS ME", OR SOMETHING
LIKE THAT.
THE ADMIN WILL CONFIRM IT VERBALLY. THIS CHAT SHOULD NOT BE PRIVATE
CHAT. EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
NOW THE TRICKY PART... WHEN THE LUCKY DOG CAR PITS WITH THE LAPPED CARS,
HE MUST STAY IN PITS UNTIL ALL THE LAPPED CARS
EXIT AND FALL IN BACK OF THEM. IF AT LEAST ONE CAR IS VERY SLOW TO
LEAVE IN THE PITS, THE LUCKY DOG DRIVER CAN REENTER
THE TRACK TO STAY ON THAT LAP. THE LUCKY DOG CAR NEEDS TO DRIVE THROUGH
PITS EVERY LAP THAT THE PITS IS OPEN TO HIM.
THE ADMINS NEED THE LUCKY DOG CAR TO BE LINED UP BEHIND THE LEAD LAP CARS AND HAVE ALL LAPPED CARS IN FRONT OF
HIM.
WHEN THE FLAGMAN DROPS THE GREEN FLAG AND THE SPOTTER YELLS, "GREEN, GREEN, GREEN", THE ADMIN WILL
GIVE THE LAP BACK UNDER GREEN WITHIN THE NEXT LAP. THE LUCKY DOG WILL
NOW BE THE
LAST CAR IN LINE ON THE LEAD LAP.
IF THE LUCKY DOG DOESN'T DO IT RIGHT, POTENTIALLY BLACK FLAGS MAY OCCUR OR
SOMEBODY MAY LOSE A POSITION OR TWO UNFAIRLY.
THE LUCKY DOG HAS TO POSITION HIMSELF AS THE LAST CAR ON THE TRACK
FOR THE "ONE-TO-GO" LAP ON APPROACH TO THE RESTART. ITS UP
TO HIM TO KEEP ENTERING PITS UNTIL HE GETS THERE. IF IT JUST SO
HAPPENS THAT HE REALIZES THAT HE IS COMING TO THE DROP OF THE GREEN FLAG AND
THERE IS A LEAD LAP CAR BEHIND HIM, THEN WHEN THE GREEN FLAG DROPS HE SHOULD
ACCELERATE TO THE START LINE AND THEN GO LOW TO LET THE CAR PASS
HIM AFTER THE START LINE, NOT BEFORE THE START LINE AS THIS WILL FOR SURE
BRING A BLACK FLAG IF YOU LET HIM PASS BEFORE THE START LINE.
***NEVER SHOULD THE LUCKY DOG GO TO THE LOW LAPPED
LINE TO THE FRONT OF THE PACK FOR A RESTART. ALWAYS STAY IN
BACK.***
ANY CAR WHO ULTIMATELY SITS IN THE LUCKY DOG POSITION AND IS THE CAR WHO CAUSED/CONTRIBUTED
TO THE
CAUTION, IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE
FREE LAP BACK. ADMINS WILL BE OBTAINING INFO AS BEST THEY CAN AND
RULE WHETHER THE POSSIBLE LUCKY DOG DRIVER SHOULD RECEIVE THE LUCKY DOG OR
NOT.
IF ON REPLAY, IT IS DETERMINED THAT A DRIVER THAT REQUESTED THE LUCKY
DOG LAP BACK WAS THE DRIVER RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING OUT THE
CAUTION, THEN THE DRIVER WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR THE FOLLOWING 3
RACES. SO BOTTOM LINE, DON'T TRY TO PULL ANYTHING OUT THERE.
**THERE IS NO LUCKY DOG RULE IF THE YELLOW DROPS
WHEN THERE IS LESS THAN 10 LAPS
TO GO.**
