Talladega, Al. – For the second time this Jeff Sykes came through in a restrictor plate race, winning the pole, leading the most laps, and winning the race. After the round of pit stops had completed Sykes found himself running in second place behind David Gibson. Sykes wasted little time in getting by Gibson to reassume the lead, a lead he would never let go of the rest of the race. When a late race caution setup a 4 lap dash to the finish Sykes and Mclain hooked up on the high side of the track and held off a hard charging Brian Mellendorf and David Gibson.
