Concord, N.C. – Keith Mclain survived at Lowe’s Motor Speedway to get his 10th win of the season. The race started with 26 cars but only 13 cars were left running at the end. Only a hand full of drivers seemed to have a grip on the track as the race saw 11 cautions. The night didn’t start out well as at the drop of the green flag cars piled up in turn 1. The race just seemed to go on downhill from there. Mclain who ran in the top 10 all night waited and waited some more before making his move with 25 laps left in the race. Up until that point pole sitter Jeff Leung dominated the race. Leung jumped out to a 2 second lead on just about every restart and seemed to have the race under control, but a late race race yellow allowed Mclain to make the adjustments that he needed. After the restart Leung was unable to get away from Mclain. Mclain made the pass with 25 to go and held off a hard charging Horace Brooks who finished right on Mclain's bumper in 2nd place. Brian Mellendorf finished in 3rd, Jeremy Weideman finished in 4th, and Jeff Leung faded to 5th at the end of the race. The league travels to Atlanta motor Speedway next week for some more 1 ½ mile high banked racing action.
