Gibby gets the jump on the start!

Greg Foslien gets impaled by the Cootie man Mike Spivey in turn 3 on the first lap…Greg was a lil loose on the start and he just lost it…

After the restart Rob Decker looses it in front of Jeremy Wiedeman who masterfully moves to the high side to avoid him.

Horace Brooks with the “pass in the grass” …hmmm 4 wide at lowes that didn’t work

David Gibson wins segment 2 followed closely by Andrew Lewis under Yellow.

Andrew gets the jump on the start!

It would be short lived though as Andrew gets loose in turn 1

Mike Hall’s night would come to an abrupt end when Rob Decker finds another victim on the backstretch…Rob had a rough night

Steve Stiely, Keith McLain, and Horace Brooks in hot pursuit as David Gibson goes for the clean sweep.

Keith McLain tries to get under Steve Stiely….but instead gets into the rear of the 2005 STRL CHAMPION…eliminating the last 3 STRL CHAMPIONS in 1 fatal error.

Danny Sanchez slips by to move into 2nd place

David Gibson hold off Danny Sanchez to win the 2008 ALL-STAR CHALLENGE
We were able to catch up with David in victory lane……
THIS NEWS JUST IN FROM STEEL HORSE RACING!!!
After winning the STRL All Star race Wednesday night, David Gibson has decided to continue on with his schedule for the STRL. "This was a make or break race for this car. Just about what they always said it would be .... wreckers or checkers and the last session of that race was exactly that. Just glad that it was all in my rear veiw mirror. With the luck that has hit this particular team this year, the driver of the 3 car was in the process of of being a part time driver. With the change of luck in the All Star race, We hope the luck for this team has put a glimmer of hope so they can continue to move forward and start moving up the points standings. The leading of all 3 race sessions has put some confidence that has been lacking in the driver and is looking forward to the 600 race this weekend at Lowe's." "this car was thrown together for the All-Star race and really was not a good car last week while in practice sessions with teammate Danny Sanchez. All Danny could hear on his radio from his teammate was "@!&$#@!@#" Gibson said "I dont know what came over me or the car in the minutes counting down to the race but something happened and I hope it stays with the car and the rest of the team. Seems like others in the race could use some luck too as Teammates James Krahula blew up while entering pit road and Dave Matson had transmission problems on restarts."
We look forward to this weeks Lowe's 600 and see if Steel Horse Racing can start putting up numbers that they know they capable of.
BTW, Thanks Guys!! ![]()
