Daytona Beach, Fl. – The evening started off with the race your way in race. #55 Steve Stiely dominated and led every lap of the 25 lap event. The event saw one big wreck that claimed almost half the field. After the race went back green it was pretty much follow the leader until coming off turn 2 when the drivers tried to get to the final transfer position got together and wrecked in the tri-oval. The wreck had no bearing on who the three transfer drivers were though. The drivers that transferred were the #55 of Steve Stiely, #62 of James Krahula, and the #97 of Ron Henson. These three drivers would have to start at the rear of the field for the main event. Jeff Sykes in the #4 Fart Racing Chevrolet would get the pole for the main event. The only time Sykes would lose the lead was during green flag pit stops. Coupled fast a fast car was his pit crew which got him out of the pits first on both stops. Sykes later said that he wanted to thank his team mates #16 Andrew Lewis, and #22 Keith Mclain for drafting with him and helping him to the win. The League hits the track for the first point’s event next week at Daytona. Our Race Reporter got up with the race winner in victory lane. this is what Jeff Sykes had to say “ Thanks guys.I had A great qual lap which was the big key to the win.I also got some great pit stops by the ClubIT crew that kept me out front. Also got to give a huge shout out to Andrew and Keith without my wingmen this win would not have happened.” Teams look forward for the next race here at Daytona for the Dale Earnhardt Memorial!!! |
